Trip to Scotland

On the third day, we decided to rent a car and go sight seeing around Loch Lomond. But first we covered the view of Edinburgh from Arthur’s seat.

To be honest, we did not really reach the summit at Holyrood Park. But nonetheless, we did manage to get some really nice panoramic views of the city from a good height.

We then planned our journey towards Trossachs National Park. Our GPS had other plans. We ended up somewhere between Perth and the Lake! It took us a while to realize we will be better off covering the scenery near the lake than at the Park.

Another one hour later, we managed to reach a camping site from where we could reach the banks of the giant lake. Barely did we start taking pictures before rain intervened. We sadly headed back in our car in search of a more photogenic place. We did manage to reach one such, but not long after so did the rains!

The last day of our trip we set aside for local sightseeing. We soon discovered that Edinburgh could be touristy a minute and a traffic nightmare a moment later. We did a walking tour of the Princes Street Gardens followed by a long walk at the Princes Street toward the National Monument of Scotland and then back towards the Edinburgh Castle.
