Evolution with Changing Times

I was probably around 14 years old when I was first exposed to a real boy’s toy – a mid-90’s gaming console. It wasn’t mine, of course, but that of a friend. I knew then that I’d found my first love, but also felt that handling stuff like these was probably just once in a lifetime opportunity for me.

I wouldn’t notice then that my bare necessities were evolving. Little did I know that, in under a couple of years, consoles like these would be obsolete and that my life will be inundated with electronics (of all sort) in more ways than I’d care to remember!

Stepstones to Nowhere

When the great minds of my times proclaimed “its time for us to colonize other planets”, the question raging in my mind was “why are we not there yet“? But now considering how “truly advanced” we’re, the only thing that I am pondering about is “how are we still here… and surviving?

Review: The Adventures of Tintin (2011)

Based on one of my favorite childhood comic books, comes one of the best ever animation motion pictures of this year. The Adventures of Tintin (2011) does a fine job in keeping the audience entertained while compromising a bit on the original story line.

Technology – Where Do We Stand?

‘I love gadgets’ Yes I really do. In fact, this ‘new found’ love made me start a community by the same name in orkut (publicity 😉 ). But sometimes, I really find myself in the wrong place as far as electronics go.

I happened to make a call to a shop, selling all consumer electronic items, to enquire about the pricing of a flat screen TV (out of curiosity of course 🙂 ).

“Do you have any flat screen TV? How much is the cost?”

“We don’t procure them sir, nobody in this place (you can take it as Chennai) will get it!”

Pointless Ponderings

The world is a dot. That’s right, you heard me. It is a dot. How big a dot? Well probably as big (or as small) as this one.

In all probability even smaller. There is no guessing how much.

When the world comes to a dot what are we? We are naught! Yup nothing more than nothingness, just a mere dot’s distance from fading away. Fading away into oblivion, waiting to be nothing more than anything and no more than nothing.
