The Fight Within

Perched on the lush green tree,
In the middle of the field,
It’s eyes scouted the scene
Waiting for the next prey to yield.

There was much clamour,
Boisterous loud noises,
When men in fine armour
Burnt faith in to ashes.

Spitting and spewing hatred
With every gasp of breath;
Love’s defence was truly shattered
Whilst they did fight to their death!

Some said it was for a cause,
That it was glory to die for one’s land.
Had they learned to think and pause
Could they not sense it was getting out of hand?

The night was beautiful
The place was quiet
I had my companion found

Finful Cravings

You know sometimes I wonder what we were doing just before being born on this planet. I believe every creature has the same god and I guess we were all chit-chatting with god just before being born in here.

What were we talking about? I guess god would have asked us, so what do you want to be this time? And guess what would I have replied?

“Me, I want to be a fish!”

Other Side Of The Coin

In the midst of the rising mountains and bountiful rivers of the beautiful Komalu region, Shigaru was an eyesore. With no more than a few hundred people residing in its rupturing lands, it was miles away from the much fantasized beauty of its neighboring regions. The river beds had dried up ages before, thanks to exploitation by its neighbors; the fields were cracking up and the land looked like a desert while the afternoon sun blazed. The cattle and poultry were dying and if proper amenities did not reach within a year, so will the people.

Living amidst the catastrophe was the family of Chunni Rajan; not a small family by any means. Rajan and his wife Shanthana had three girls and one son – all malnourished. He lost his aging father and his youngest son within a few months gap when an epidemic had stuck the town (about three months back). His wife who was expecting another child was also taken seriously ill and her unborn child was not expected to see the next sunrise. In fact, she was having her pains and the child was expected soon.

Terrorism

The word sums it all up, I guess. An unfortunate and unforeseen force, created by the arms race; there is no stopping it now for it spreads its stink all directions. A modern day terrorist need not be a bearded man with Arab clothing and a Kalashnikov. Of course such silhouettes still exist, but like any group with extreme intentions they are learning the act of survival.

You meet Sam at the XY airport – a guy who looks handsome, intelligent, well learned, and well mannered and most importantly can look straight into your eyes while striking a conversation. He has to board his plane and departs in haste and quickly blows the plane to smithereens!

Cinema

Stardom, fanaticism, craze, sleaze, fame, glory, conspiracies, gossips, limelight – a mix of all these; Cinema is all about it.

People get easily affected by what they hear and what they see. To a lot of people to see, is to believe. Imagine what would happen when a deadly mix of sight, sound and act get together. It could take you to new heights; make you visualize things which you can hardly ever dream of; things which are fantastic, to things which are mundane.

Perfection

The system is imperfect.
Well so am I.
I was made just perfect enough to be a part of the system.
In here, there is no such thing as perfect.
The system has been perfected for that.

The Agarias

A small dedication ahead of International Labor Day

Legend has it that even after an Agaria is dead and cremated; the soles of his feet remain. A lifetime of hardship in the salt pan makes their skin so hard that even fire cannot burn them. {{1}}

Indian Cinema

I was just going through some really amazing videos of a certain Indian cine star in YouTube and I couldn’t help wondering if the heroes and directors ever get to watch their own film before its release? If at all they do, either they have cruel hearts or empty minds. It so happens that some of the so called action film run to 100 days of success because of it being treated as a comedy film!
