One of my first mentors told me once that “the reward for good work is more work“! I dismissed her words, of course, as soft coercion. It can’t be great news when your team lead decides to throw in such motivational quotes, for no reason, in the middle of a gruelling work week! Yet these are the very words that I would recollect, every time I was thrown into a maze soon after cracking the one before.(more…)
It would be completely unfair to have come to a place on business visit and to end up without any word on the new work culture!(more…)
Last weekend for me was totally different! I was taking part in an Organization level contest for making a documentary on how eco-friendly my company is. It was supposed to be a team event, but there wasn’t much of a team, save me and my wife; but I am glad we make a great pair 🙂

It was not for any technical prowess; it wasn’t just another trophie or award; it happened to be for the thankless job of monitoring one of the most wildest place in corporate world – the Bulletin Board (a place where everyone feels he’s the king, minister et all) of my company. Truth be spoken, it is for a far more noble commitment from my side – monitoring the only literary forum of the BB.(more…)
Guess it’s a long time pending from my side – my jolly good trip to Mysore. What was really good about this trip was not just that the place was awesome and welcome break from mundane life, but also the fact that I happened to travel with my mom after a looooooooong time and more importantly get to know my fianceé much better (which I believe was the actual reason for accompanying me on this).
Okay I won’t be rambling about how we spent the time but would be more focused on where and when. First up was a nice settling down and refreshing time, after a 10 hour train trip, at my fianceé’s place. She had gone back to her work and had decided to join us after we were all geared up to go.(more…)
