In recent times we have seen quite a lot of action hero origin stories. With dramatic improvements in techniques relating to in production as well as post processing of movies, big production houses calling for a reboot of a franchise is not totally unreasonable.

Zootropolis – A New Change
Disney has changed its usual way of making films. Stereotypes seen in characters has withered; there is more subtlety to the plot line. Even someone as ignorant as me, can now observe hint of grey shade to the black and white story line. Strangely the imprints left behind in the mind of the audience are so blissfully colorful!
Zootropolis is, at one glance, a metropolis of animals of all kind. Species which have somehow matured and grown civilised after years of hunting and killing one another. They have, in fact, reached the levels of human ingenuity by simply working together, learning to live in peace and harmony.
Moana (2016)
Just as I am writing this, BBC News confirms that some parts of Hawaii are under three feet of snow. A study by NASA just confirms that “it is no longer a question whether the West Antarctic Ice sheet will melt, it is a question of when”! Jigarthanda is the hottest Tamil movie of this season. This is my review of the film after watching it with my family. And when I say family it is rather a mix of almost all age groups – a toddler, a small kid, a teen, a twenty something, a thirty something (me) and an almost 60 year old. In all honesty, this blog post is more about the experience of watching this film with them and is rather heavily influenced by their own opinions as well.

Based on one of my favorite childhood comic books, comes one of the best ever animation motion pictures of this year. The Adventures of Tintin (2011) does a fine job in keeping the audience entertained while compromising a bit on the original story line.
Review: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part II
We were introduced to the story and its cast almost a decade back but the franchise has not failed its fans yet. When anyone writes a review for the deathly hallows 2, it is unavoidable that the overall success of the entire Harry Potter series will be discussed and subject to review as well.
